Size and site the shed
Measure the footprint and confirm the delivery route. A shed that fits the yard but not the gate becomes a crane job overnight. Check setback rules and utility easements before quoting.
Choose material and finish
Wood runs ~$18/sq ft, metal ~$9/sq ft, vinyl ~$15/sq ft. Material changes the foundation too — a wood shed on skids is fine, a large shed wants a slab.
Price the foundation
