The short answer
Paver patios run $10–$25 per sq ft installed. Concrete pavers are cheapest ($8–$15), brick mid-range, and natural stone premium ($20–$35). A typical 300 sq ft patio runs $3,000–$7,500.
Materials and cost per sq ft
Concrete pavers are the budget standard and come in the widest variety. Brick has a classic look and ages well. Natural stone is the premium option with the best resale appeal but the highest cost.

The base is half the job
A proper base — compacted gravel, sand and edge restraint — prevents settling and weeds. It is the most labor-intensive part and the most skipped by low-ball quotes. Never accept a job that skips base prep.
Labor and site prep
Installation runs $7–$12 per sq ft and includes excavation, base, sand setting bed, laying, cutting and joint sand. Site access, slope and existing concrete removal all add labor.
